June has been a busy month for MA Engineering Consultants, Inc. Multiple project wins combined with several key new hires – Dr. Srini Dharmapuri, PhD, CP, PPS, SP as Geospatial Director, and Rich Penci, PLS, CFS as Geomatics/Project Manger – along with departmental realignments have made for an extremely active time as we continue to strive to provide innovative minds and top shelf services for our customers.

Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
- RDU Runway 5L/23R Replacement
We’ll be providing aerial surveys, topographical surveys, and SUE to CH2M for the Runway 5L/23R Replacement Program.
- CONRAC – Preliminary Roadway & Parking Lot Design, Survey, SUE Services
We’ll be providing Preliminary Roadway Design and Parking Lot Design, Surveying and SUE Services to Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) as part of the CONRAC project. This six-to-eight year project will consolidate rental car companies into one complex between RDU’s two terminals, within walking distance for fliers. - SAS Hanger Expansion We’ll be providing Utility Design & Visualization
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
- Surveying Services (multiple vendors)
MAEC will part of the Maryland-based teams working on the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport projects.
US Army Corps of Engineers
- Inspection and Design Contract with USACE Omaha District
We’ll be part of the Burns & McDonnell team that was awarded the Engineering Services for Inspection and Design Contract with USACE Omaha District. We will be providing surveying services.
South Carolina Department of Transportation
- Transportation Alternatives On-Call Contract (Neel-Schaffer)
We’ll be providing SUE, and surveying services to Neel-Schaffer, Inc.. under the Transportation Alternatives On-Call Contract.
- Transportation Alternatives On-Call Contract (Kimley-Horn)
We’ll be providing utility coordination, SUE, and surveying services to Kimley-Horn under the Transportation Alternatives On-Call Contract.
- Bridge Design On-Call Contact (SCDOT)
MAEC is excited to be part of several teams selected for the bridge design on-call contract with SCDOT. We will providing a multitude of services, including aerial and land surveys, SUE, utility coordination, and LiDAR.
Charleston County, SC
- Improvement Study
MA Engineering will be providing surveying and aerial mapping services to Ramey Kemp for the US-17/Savannah Highway/Ashley River Bridges/Crosstown Congestion & Infrastructure Improvement Study in Charleston County, SC.
City of Columbia
- Harden Street Phase 11B Improvement project
We’re excited to be part of the Harden Street Phase IIB Improvement project for the City of Columbia. We will be providing surveying and SUE services to Kimley-Horn.
Grand Strand Airport (North Myrtle Beach, SC)
- Drainage Improvement Projects
MAEC will be providing surveying services to ADC Engineering Specialists on drainage improvement projects at Grand Strand Airport in South Carolina.
